My New "Outlaw" Mustang

I know Mustangs are like bellybuttons, but I'm a Ford guy, so.....

It's a bit heavier than I would have liked, but I still have to cut the axle and there's a few things I can trim up to lose a few grams....

Anyways, got to make a few shakedown passes, it runs really good......  Best 60' was .087 and the mph was in the mid 90 mph range......

Re: My New "Outlaw" Mustang

Hey Marty,

It's my "little" motor....  http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/wink.png
It's Timmy's thick neos with a .459 diameter Pro Slot 7/4 arm....  Nothing really special, mags not shimmed, just centered and epoxied in place, bearings on both ends, shunted, reworked Camen regular springs and Golddust brushes.... I think this is gonna be the last go round for this arm, it's been to Alpha twice for balance and the com is .184.....

The body is solid in the front, but floats in the rear...  Not much side to side, maybe .002 but enough to move up and down the same....  It seems to work decent so far....

I have a little work to do, take a look at the passenger side braid (left in the pic)....  I got a bit rushed and didn't fluff the end out like normal, but it welded the tip slightly and left a weird burn mark right above......

Roy, try Pepto Bismo.....  http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/tongue.png

It was fast.... http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/grin.png
You're within a few numbers on the .6 side....  .612 was the best pass....

.082 but not stuffed.....

A LOT!!!  Not as much as I thought though...  I think I could prep and fire it down in 2 minutes though...

Re: My New "Outlaw" Mustang

Marty, I build em to crash....  If they make it all the way down, it's usually fast....  LOL!  http://cdn.boardhost.com/emoticons/tongue.png

Koford drag...  I'm not proficient enough to mix consistently....  I think a mix would let me run less...  Oh man...  Wish I has some Bogg.....

Re: My New "Outlaw" Mustang

Wow that looks good. I have a question though. I'm new to slot cars. I've been looking around for a foxbody body but I have a hard time tracking one down. Did you make it?
