Proslot 4002/FX How does it stack up to other motors?

This seems to be a cheap motor with a lot of potential! Has neos, will need at least a bearing on the can end & a hotter arm, like the PS big dog or Koford x12... What are your thoughts???

Re: Proslot 4002/FX How does it stack up to other motors?

I have been running one of these motors for the past 6 weeks in stock configuration, & it seems to work VERY well for am under $15 motor. It is geared 13/52 in a lightweight spring steel chassis with a lexan S-10 body, well under 100 grams. After turning initial times in the 1111 range, as the brushes seated it has stabilized at 1070 - 1080, depending on lane. Has 1"x.300 protracks, blasts off line & to 660, then kinda dies off. Will be going to a 50 spur soon, lookiing for more top end.

I'm willing to bet that a 14/52 gear would be better.  Or, your current gear (maybe the 50t spur) on a 1 1/16 ish tire, if you have them laying around.

That FK is a "tractor" motor.  Low rpm, plenty of torque.
