xtreme fiberglass

Anyone using an Xtreme fiberglass chassis, what are the advantages and disadvantages you see in them?

Re: xtreme fiberglass

I would be very interested in opinions of this chassis as well. It seems I'm being advised that I need a "stiff" chassis by some, and a "loose"  chassis by others. My personal experience? My 9 and 10sec cars all run a stiff chassis (worked out that way purely by chance, all doorslammer models). Most all my 11-14 sec cars are chassis that are longer with more flex to them. (Again, all doorslammer models).

I think I'd like to try a lightweight yet stiff chassis. I beleive this "edge type" chassis is also made in carbon fiber, is it not?

They gave their tomorrows, for your today.

I will say i do like this chassis, we have a outlaw class at our track which consist of .500 wides, any chassis, open gear , & minican motors ex.( demon, evil 9, falcon, or hawk). The car is a 55' chevy pro sportsman & runs 1.060 in there heads up class, alot of fun & inexpensive.

Excuse me but why would you want to run that frame with a mini motor? That car would be quicker and faster and need barely any glue if you had something like a wrp c-10 frame with small diameter piano wire. That is overkill for a weak motor. Many people think you have to build bridge girders for frames that is just not true. Your car will get quicker 60 foot times as well if you changed frames.
