4-40 Set Screws

Are the set screws that come in various gears and wheels acceptable to stay with?
Or are there replacements that are routinely used by those in the know?

Re: 4-40 Set Screws

Hello: if you are loking for older ( 60's vintage) set screws 4-40 Parma has some in  thier catalog that are allen head. I think the number is Parma 525???? Not positive on this but if you need 4-40 set screws these would be a bettr alternative than the original slotted head screws.
