Re: FWD racing

Marty, I tried one without bars.  It was hit or miss. When it made a good pass, it was fast! But 90% of the time it was spinning the tire.  When we went to one with a 5" bar, it worked much better consistently.....

Re: FWD racing

Marty, The ballst really helped the Accord from nosing over in the shutdown area, as you can imagine with FWD and strong motor the braking is done by the front, giving issues.
I still play with some ballast (square neo magnets)  in the rear half of the Neon (so weight is in the middle of the wheelbase).

The Accord was far from consistent, but it does have a 1970's group 7 motor in it!  being angle winder, the design would never work consistently as it bwas over powered and didnt load the slicks evenly.  Just 1 out of 30 runs any good.

Pretty slick. Has anyone tried putting the
guide on a lever to float it say just forward
Of the drivetrain?

Re: FWD racing

Bob, NZMark is the guy when I spoke to you on the phone, he passed away last year.
He did have a lot of good info and other related materials for the vintage drag cars.
