still having some traction issues but we are working on it.

Track Length?

care to share chassis, body, gearing, weight?  I want to try one of these motors, and i kinda wanna do it on a hard body car, just need to find one aero enough.  I have a Vette that's been cut and narrowed , but i like it too much to risk hiting a wall with it at speed.

Congrats by the way, nice run.

New doesn't always mean good.

Re: new track records set at our local track

Sorry 1/8 mile track all jds neo chassis, jds monte carlo funny car,15/54 gearing I think its what ever is recommended on package, jds scale rears .500 wide and 82grams. I know its not as fast as most others times but this is a new track with a bunch of people new to slot drags. Your not allowed to prep your lanes or glue your tires during racing. So I waited til after we were done and showed them how it works and what would happen. But I had the old mph record of 61.48 with a drs wedge dragster and ps101 big block no glue. I still have a few more test to do, the neo has more left in it and I will bring it out I wont be happy til low 4s or high 3s!

Re: new track records set at our local track

Had some better postings Sunday with my neo car I was able to get it down into the 430's & over 79 mph. I only get to make about 5 or 6 passes each Sunday after driving 40 miles to my local track.

Re: new track records set at our local track

I'm interested how you get your BB20 wedge to hook up with no glue?  do you use lighter fluid burn outs like,Down Under, to clean the tires? wipe off the shut down glue? hold the car and spin the tires to get heat in them ? 61.48 is just a little slower than I am getting with my BB20 while using glue! good set up trying to get my No glue No Wheelie bar cars to hook up and go faster, studying any information I can get.

Re: new track records set at our local track

The guy who runs the track preps it once for the entire day you just go up make a pass and we just wipe our tires off with lighter fluid. You just have to figure out how much glue from the shut down area to wipe off your tires. It is a new track and most of the guys do not have any slot drag racing knowledge. Its funny about the lighter fluid burn outs thats how we did it when I first got into racing! we would put the fluid on the tires put the car on the track and punch it! Wipe down our lane glue our tires and lane and race.
