Profiling the guide

I am interested in this also Don
have shaved the thread and thinned above the braid slots
what else have you guys done

Closest I did to Profiling a guide would be some times I saw off the part of the flag that is forward of the braid holder . file a little off the bottom and radius the front a little .only did this once to see if it made a big diffrence ,not enough on my hard body bracket car to notice.

Shaved might be referring to making sure the guide is flat and even.  Take a block with a notch in it and glue sanding paper on each side of notch.  Then place guide on top of sand paper and slide guide back and forth to makes sure the guide is as flat as can be!

I spent  a few mins on this tonight did not cut the thread down as i want to add extra guide nuts but for future reference it removed .13 Grams worth it may be on low weight funny but my rail is gonna need all the weight help  it can get
