Mounting engine on slip joint dragster.

Here is one way to mount your engine to a dragster body, there are many ways of doing these, and this is one of the ways. If you have another way please feel free to post.

First use some styrene and shape it to the motor you want to use,
then you remove some of the styrene of the body to fit this in it's place.
Let's call this an engine bracket.

Another option is use the styrene (bracket) you shaped and double face tape it to the motor. Build your motor with parts on the styrene bracket.

Ron used a dremel then files off the excess. But you can use any of the tools you mentioned.

Bill. most of these guys I believe use curved scissors. I can just imaging what went wrong. Do you have a Dremel tool?

Bill. Now when you use the Dremel, mark a line where you want to cut then leave material so you can file it to the line, don't try to cut at the line. File the rest off with a emory board or similar.
Dollar store item.
